Saved by the bill: 3D-printed beak gives Karl the hornbill a new lease on life

Karl, a 27-year-old Abyssinian ground hornbill at Washington D.C.’s Smithsonian's National Zoo, can now feed himself once again -- courtesy of a new 3D-printed prosthetic beak.
