Congress votes to repeal the FCC’s privacy rules for internet service providers

The House voted to repeal privacy rules imposed by the Federal Communications Commission, joining a similar vote by the Senate. But the ruleset was never "active," meaning a gap in privacy protection has remained since February 2015.
